Bread Makers

Oster 5838 Express Breadmaker

The Oster Express Breadmaker can bake up to a two pound loaf of fresh bread in under an hour. It also has 18 different settings for making a variety of breads, dough and jams. Bread maker comes with a manual with over 50 different recipes for you to try.

Sunbeam 5891 2-Pound Programmable Breadmaker

I've owned this breadmaker for the last three years and have no complaints at all. It makes 1.5 or 2 pound loaves of bread and has 12 different cooking functions for making a variety of recipes. I usually use the 1.5 lb setting and select the light color, otherwise for me the crust is too dark and hard.

Panasonic SD- YD250 Automatic Bread Maker

This bread maker makes three different loaf sizes which makes it a good choice for almost anyone. But one of the best things about it is the automatic yeast dispenser which adds the yeast for you, at the right time taking out the guess work for you. One thing about this bread maker that some people may not like is the fact that it doesn't have a viewing window. This does allow for more even reflection of heat inside the unit which in turn makes for a better loaf of bread.

West Bend 41300 Hi-Rise Electronic Breadmaker

All the benefits of a high end bread maker at a very affordable price. The West Bend 41300 Electronic Breadmaker makes your choice of four different loaf sizes and the dual blades do an excellent job of mixing ingredients.

Zojirushi BB- HAC10 Home Bakery Mini Breadmaker

This bread maker makes smaller 1 pound loaves of bread which makes it a good choice for smaller households. Its compact size also works well when counter space is limited. Its also easy to use and offers easy clean-up.

Breadman TR875 2-Pound Breadmaker

An excellent bread maker, its compact size fits well with limited counter space and I really like how quietly the bread maker runs. Bread maker makes 1, 1.5 and 2 lb loaves of bread.

Zojirusch BB- CEC20 Home Bakery 2 Lb Breadmaker

This very easy to use dual blade breadmaker makes an excellent bakery quality loaf of bread.  Breadmaker is also very durable and easy to use and makes the perfect 2 lb. loaf of bread.

Bread Making Tips

In order to make the perfect loaf of bread there are a few rules that you need to follow.

When using a bread maker I've found that if your bread doesn't for some reason turn out, its usually the cooks fault for not following directions.  I'm one of the worst at this but you really can't improvise when using a bread maker.

So make sure to read your manual before using the bread maker, and be sure to follow the directions and you'll have a perfect loaf of bread each and every time.
