Twilight And New Moon Party Ideas

If you or someone else in your house is a Twilight fan why not consider having a Twilight themed party? This could be for a birthday, anniversary or maybe a premier party for the latest movie Eclipse which is due to release June 30 2010.

But whatever your reasons for having a Twilight themed party the ideas are almost endless and so much fun that most anyone even people who aren't a fan of The Twilight Saga will enjoy themselves.

One of the first things that you're going to need for your party is of course the decorations. Red candles are a must for this, try some red votive candles in crystal candle holders scattered around the room. The cinnamon apple scent is also a nice touch but you might want to consider unscented candles just in case someone has allergies.  Some red and black balloons also provides a nice touch.

Don't forget the life size stand-up posters. Everyone will want their picture taken with them and it's a great way to add to the over all Twilight theme. If you have a limited amount of space these posters can also be mounted on a door or wall.

If you're on a budget the standup poster with all three characters from the Twilight films is probably your best buy.  Otherwise you might also want to add the individual Jacob and Edward posters for the werewolf and vampire fans as well, just don't be surprised if your friends try to take them home after the party.

When it comes to food for your party the ideas are endless.And you are limited only by your imagination and how much time you want to spend in the kitchen.

Red velvet cupcakes are a must for desert.
And Italian food is a good idea for the main course, you can serve it with a salad with red cherry tomatoes.

For drinks try serving Vampire Poison
3 pkgs (3 oz.) Cherry Jello
2 Cups boiling water
1/2 Cup cold water
2 Cups apple juice
Mix the jello into the boiling water and add water and apple juice and then pour into glasses and refrigerate for approx. 4 hours before serving.

It's always fun to have everyone dress up as their favorite Twilight characters.
